Thought of the moment....

No matter how hard you try, you will NEVER control anyone else's attitudes, actions, or outcomes. The only person that you have the ability to directly impact is you, and it is your responsibility to learn how to do just that...to utilize the knowledge, skills, and abilities you have been given to impact the world in the most positive way that you can EVERY chance you get!

First Crusaders Challenge

Well, well, well…today I am participating in my first Crusader Challenged. Dum…dah…dum…dum… So we were supposed to post in 300 words or less a little bit about ourselves including:

*one secret
*one lie
*one interesting quirk
*one annoying habit
*one of your best character traits
*one of your favorite things in the whole world.

In any format of your choosing but MUST include the random words, “bloviate,”, “fuliguline”, “rabbit”, and “blade”. So here goes about me…

Did you know that time will fly and beauty will fade?
I must confess I’ve considered a time or two going under that shiny blade.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it? I’m almost free.

Fear not my precious ones I should put those thoughts behind.
I think if not I will look like a friggin’ fuliguline.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it? I’m almost free.

My true obsession lies with all words, either written or sung.
One I can do, the other sounds like a rabbit being hung.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it? I’m almost free.

This brain never does unplug,
Causing me to give my hair a rough tug, tug, tug.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it? I’m almost free.

Befriended by a muse who is wicked but true.
She gives me more ideas than I know what to do.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it? I’m almost free.

I support what I believe to the very end.
With this being, I’ve made some really special friends.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it? I’m almost free.

I’m scared of failure and all it entails.
If I tend to bloviate, I may have to work out those horrible details.

I let the darkness and silence embody me.
Can you feel it?
Yes, Yes…now I’m finally free.

I may have revealed something about me that isn’t strictly true; can you guess what it is?

I liked the format you chose for this challenge with the pairings of the sentences. I think its endearing that you call your husband your "Murphy". He sounds like a great person to keep you grounded while you explore so many intangible things with your writing.

Cool Regina:) I'm not part of the crusade but I hopped on in to see your post. I love the format - totally different than the others I've read.

LOVE IT!! I'm going to guess you've never thought seriously about plastic surgery.

Hello fellow crusader! I am a tad bit late, the whole house has been sick all week. So, I just thought I would pop in and just say Hi! :D

I see no reason why you need to consider going "under the blade"

Brilliant!

I'd give this a try if it weren't for the using certain words thing. My quirk is that I hate restrictions of any kind.

Wow! Love the poetic touch! Hmm... must think...

This was really lovely. Nice to meet you fellow Crusader. Thank you for stopping at my blog too. I think the lie is considering going under the blade. The others seem to ring too true to me.

I love the way you did the challenge!

My guess is you don't pull your hair like that.

I love your expression friggin' fuliguline. Great sound to it, great alliteration.

Anyway I came by to check out your blog. It looks wonderful and I enjoyed reading your post. Pretty sure you would not consider going under the knife... You'll be hearing more from me.

Love the style you wrote this in, very creative. And now I'll be wondering what you said that wasn't true. Hmm.

That's awesome. Great job on the challenge. I bet you're actually a really good singer :)

Wow! Can't believe you know the meaning of either bloviate or fuliguline! I'm soooo in awe!

Your not actually scared of failure?? I'm going against the grain here of all the people who said that going under the knife must be the lie. I'm certain you don't need it but I know too many woman who see a flaw of age and would like it "fixed";)

How nice...I think the lie is going under the shiny blade...I will head to your next post and find out :-)

BTW, thanks for stopping by my place! I appreciate it.

I know you've already posted your lie, but I'm still catching up on the posts! Really liked the format of your entry. Well done.
